The Virtual POS is a payment module, a SW package made up of a complete manual, a cgi and a demon or service, complemented with a pair of certificates that identify the supplier and the business (Banesto is certifier authority). A POS can be used simultaneously by several commerces each one having its own certificate.

    In order to integrate this into the virtual store, all you have to do is call up our cgi and offer a minimum amount of data in order to identify the transaction. This cgi communicates via SSL with Banesto and in a secure server the bank displays the payment form, which may be personalized for your store. This is where the client enters the card details. This data is sent to the corresponding authorizing center where it is validated. Where appropriate, the payment is then authorized.
    The bank communicates the result of the transaction to the business' demon using SSL, enabling it to link up to a separate application which then handles the order.     In addition to SSL payment, Banesto gives you  the option of SET mode payment , which completely guarantees the identity of the parties involved in the transaction. The operation is similar. When the client arrives at the payment form, instead of introducing his card details, he chooses SET mode payment, its electronic wallet application appears automatically and the client selects the card with which he wishes to pay. From this point on, the operation is the same.     The POS is available for almost all the platforms that are used nowadays: Solaris, Irix, Linux and Digital for UNIX and in Windows NT. Thus, the only technical requirements are to have a Virtual store or product catalogue on the Internet.
